Overview
The Announcement bar is a Global frame for one temporary site-wide notice above navigation — for example a closure, promo, or renovation. It supports a short message, optional button, tone, and an optional show window.
It starts Hidden on many sites. Always-on phone / social chips belong in the Utility bar, not here.
Get started
- Switch to Edit.
- In Layers, open Global frames and select Announcement bar (above Utility bar when both are visible).
- Set Visibility to Visible.
- In Fields, set:
- Message — one short line guests should see
- Icon (optional)
- Button and Button target (optional CTA)
- Tone —
info,notice, orpromo(look only — color/emphasis, not the wording) - Show from / Show until (optional) — when the bar may appear on the live site
- Check Mobile, then Publish so guests get the new text and window.
Show window: leave both times empty for no time filter — only Visibility and a non-empty message decide. Only Show from = from that moment onward; only Show until = until that moment. Outside the window the strip stays hidden on the live site without another publish just to “tick the clock.”
